- Eucalyptus Oil
Like diamond cuts diamond; poison cuts poison and oil cuts oil.
People often doubt the idea of removing the oil stains using oil but, this is an effective remedy for oil removal from clothes.
All you need to do is to dab some eucalyptus oil on the stubborn oil stain. Wash the cloth and you will see no stain on the fabric.
- Dry Cleaning Solvent
You can also use the dry cleaning solvent to remove the oil stains from your clothes. You would need a dry cleaning kit that is easily available in the market. You would just need to follow the instructions mentioned on the package. These solvents are very effective in stain removal.
- WD- 40
WD- 40 helps in breaking down the toughest of oil stains. It is effective in removing the stains after they have dried, hardened and set into the cloth. To remove such stubborn stains, take a piece of cardboard and put it behind the stain. This will keep the oil stain from sinking the back of the cloth.
Now, spray WD- 40 on the stain. For small stains, take WD- 40 in a small bowl and apply it with the help of Q- tip. Scrub the stain with baking soda using a toothbrush. Baking soda will absorb all the oil. You will see baking soda clumping over the stain. Keep applying it until it stops clumping. Now, using a dishwashing liquid, scrub the cloth. The liquid will get soaked in the fabric. Wash the cloth and dry only if the stain is completely gone. If the stain is still there, repeat the process and then dry it.
