When it comes to cleaning our dresses and our homes, we have come a long way with detergents, softeners, and all manner of stain removal agents. Actually, many are pretty efficient but can be hard on the atmosphere and even harder on the tight budget.

Tomato sauce, blood, and wine can be set with heat so before washing, use soft dish soap on stain and permit to soak before washing. If the stain is wet, dab with club soda and repeat until stain is fully vanished.

Oils, grease and fats can be removed with shampoo rubbed softly into stain then wash as general. Cornstarch can be used to wrap stain until dry. Use a stiff brush to get rid of excess and repeat as required. For more hard stains, make a paste of salt and lemon juice and rub into the stain and let sit till dry.

Home furnishings

Minor carpet stains can be successfully removed by a solution of 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water into a spray bottle. Spray stain then let sit for many minutes and blot until stain is removed. Repeat as required.

Baking soda is a common deodorizer. Sprinkle on carpets and furniture, let sit then vacuum. You can also place baking soda in shallow containers to get rid of odors in the closets, refrigerators and even in the air as well.

Removing strains from leather furniture is difficult but can be done. Combine a half a cup of hot water and quarter of a cup of vinegar, dip a soft cloth in the solution and rub the strain gently until it is removed. Use leather saddle soap to fully remove any soil from the stained place and dry using a soft cloth.

Water masks can be simply removed from wood with mayonnaise. Just apply a little amount to a soft dry paper towel and until to sit over the stain. Wait 15 minutes and if mark remains, rub into the mark until left. Clean the area and polish as usual.

Almost all stains have the same general components and these natural cleaners can be used in all areas of your house without any danger. The idea is to know which ones work excellent. Definitely, testing little areas of your carpets, clothing, and leather is advised to reduce any damage and talk to an expert if your piece is a fragile or a family heirloom.
